Major project - Vest with matching hat, mittens for Yan Sze

In Apr 2005, Yan Sze left Singapore to work for a Hong Kong company with a factory based in Shenzhen, China. He will experience his first winter at end of the year. Decided to embark on a major project - knitting a vest with matching hat and mittens. It will be quite a task because I have not done anything that involves more than 2 balls of yarn! Moreover, it was a surprise so can't take his measurements or have him fitted to make adjutments. AHHH! The agonising months of dropped stitches, unravellin yarn to correct mistakes...... made worse by fact that I could only work on them at night when kids are in bed and household chores are done. Finally, it was finished and in time. I made it! Usually Yan Sze is camera shy but seeing how much hard work I have put in, he willingly posed in pictures!
